[Techtalk] why is my kernel so big???

hmm.

i've recompiled... taken nearly everything out... and im still getting this message:

Root device is (3, 5)
Boot sector 512 bytes.
Setup is 4776 bytes.
System is 838kB

is it possible that my boot sector is too small?....

still not sure why lilo wont be happy with this one... i'm still getting 
Fatal: Kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.5.1 is too big

(this happens regardless of whether i put it in /boot or in /usr/src/linux/ )
