[Techtalk] copy paste question

Hi:

Excuse the question if it seems trivial. Well here goes; I used to be
able to select text in any app using my left mouse botton and then paste
it into any other app/ term window by pressing both left and right
buttons at the same time. I recently started using Red Hat 7.1 and I can
no longer perform this time saving trick :-(

Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
