That's an awfully large amount! :-(

Look for either ntpd or rdate (not sure what the exact Debian package
names will be. The rdate program is for once off adjustments (you just
run it periodically), ntpd works continuously and makes adjustments for
network lag, etc.

Generally, ntpd is my tool of choice.
