hi everyone

gee yeah do i remember the dependency hell moment - it was glibc 6.2
that caused it i think...
i still come across old apps i want to run and RPM wont install them....
i ended up having to get a new mandrake although being a broke doctoral
student i generally dont
purchase them, i download them on the college's nice fast line ;-)...
which meant that i had no idea
for ages why the libraries werent compatible - i think that was one of
the poorly documented leaps
because it was almost as dramatic as libc5 to 6 ..... ho hum...

anyhow </rant> over....

what i was wondering was... is anyone running 2.5 kernels? Caitlin, i
noticed you were...
and how do you find them? anything to note.... or any particular kernel
to avoid....
(there was one of the 2.4's to avoid, cant remember what it was... i
seem to be okay on 2.4.18 but
i'm curious to try a 2.5 and see if it will help with the sound problems
i've been having)...

thoughts?....
