[Techtalk] mutt is trying to drive me crazy ...

I'm trying to find a mail client that I like on Linux, and a lot of
people say mutt is the way to go. So I'm trying to like it. I'm trying
hard. But sometimes it just frustrates me so much. Like today when I
tried creating a .muttrc. It has these lines:

set realname = "Jen Wu"
set from = jennyw at dangerousideas.com
set hostname = dangerousideas.com
set mbox = /home/jennyw/inbox2
set folder = /home/jennyw

Pretty simple, no? Well, when I send e-mail from mutt, it doesn't show
my name as "Jen Wu". Nor does it show the return address as I've listed.
I know that it's actually reading the file because I originally had my
name not in quotes, at which point it complained:

Error in /home/jen/.muttrc, line 1: Wu: unknown variable
source: errors in /home/jen/.muttrc

So, what's going on? Why is it ignoring the contents of .muttrc? Where
is it getting values to override from? It shows my realname as jennyw.
I'm sure I must have set this somewhere, but I have no idea where. It's
not an environment variable. Arg!

Anyway, if anyone can offer a suggestion, it'd be really appreciated!
Thanks!

Jen
