[Techtalk] puzzling netstat entry

Hi gang,

I found this in netstat:

unix  3      [ ]         STREAM     CONNECTED     1526   /tmp/.fam3kQoZG

unix  3      [ ]         STREAM     CONNECTED     1518   /tmp/.famvFXqIJ

unix  3      [ ]         STREAM     CONNECTED     1498   /tmp/.famjluBrM

unix  3      [ ]         STREAM     CONNECTED     1490   /tmp/.famBgRMpR

So I poke around in /tmp, and there's all kinds of weird-looking entries:

jpsock.131.1294

an orbit-carla folder full of entries like this:
orb-10318732521830392973

So.....what the heck is all this?
