[Techtalk] Samba Question

A couple of weeks ago, I took my laptop running Windows XP to work to do a
presentation. While there, I added this computer to their domain, and then
removed it from the domain while still at work and added it back to my
workgroup.

Ever since then this worksgroup has not been browseable on the network either
in Linux or Windows.  It says it is not accessible. However if I search for
the individual computer it is accessible and browseable.

So I created a new workgroup and added the computers to this workgroup and it
is browseable until I change the workgroup name in my smb.conf file. Then I
get the same error. On all the computers.

I am theorizing that adding the computer to a domain has corrupted some
security or other files on my laptop that has interfered with Samba.

So my question is, is this possible?  Or what is going on here. And how can I
fix it?

Thanks.
