[Techtalk] IDE/ATAPI Tape Drive

Hi All,

I have a problem that perplexes me with regards to the subject.  I am using
Mandrake 8.1 and have a Seagate Hornet ATAPI/IDE tape drive.  Mandrale
reports that this animal is at /dev/hdd.  I cannot access this tape drive at
all.  If I do an ls -l of /dev/hdd, there is no file there.  What can I do
to see this tape drive?

Any help will be appreciated.
