I switched to Eterm as part of my migration to Enlightenment and Gnome
(from tvtwm and xterm - I realized I was stagnating). Eterm has neat
little menus, including a font menu.
I actually don't have any good reason to be using Eterm anymore. It's
main reason for existence (in my mind) is that it can use a pixmap for
the background of the window instead of just a color. When I worked
in an office (now I telecommute from home), I felt that it was my duty
to have an extremely pretty tricked-out desktop in order to show my
co-workers how wimpy Windows NT was. :) I had a beautiful metallic
pixmap for the background, a selection of matching pixmaps for Eterm
backgrounds (randomly selected), and translucent window move enabled.
Now that I'm at home, I have the default desktop pixmap and all my
windows are black background/white foreground. :)
