When I was first learning (and even today, to be honest) I avoid
dealing with sendmail.cf at all. First I used linuxconf, sometimes
webmin. SuSE has Yast2 (I think it handles sendmail config, right?),
and so forth. IOW, don't deal with the file directly if you don't want
to deal with levels and levels of bletcherousness. ;-)
