I had great help from the 'DOS-Win-to-Linux-HOWTO'
during my first attempts at navigating Linux. The best
thing, as I recall, was the table translating
DOS/Windows commands to Linux commands.

It can be found on the LDP home page at:
www.linuxdoc.org under 'HOWTOs'->'HTML Alphabetical
index' or most likely under /usr/doc/HOWTO on your
Linux machine.
