I used to have a problem when looking for a command that may, or may not
exist. Its difficult to man grep if you don't know what grep is.
The solution is to look for keywords in all man pages using
man -k keyword
substituting keyword with whatever you are looking for.

Most of my Linux experience comes from looking over the shoulder of an
expert...
