If there is no /etc/inetd.conf file there should be no inetd running.
This is a good thing, it means all those services are turned *off* and
you don't have to worry about it because the potential security problem
just isn't there.  

Now, I haven't installed RH6.2 at all, so I'm not completely sure.  Just
to check (and assure yourself), run this command:

ps ax | grep inet[d]

If it pops up with anything, there is an inet daemon running.  If it
comes back with nothing, there isn't one, and you don't have to worry
about it.
