I am running a toshiba satallite 2595CDS.
My chip is a trident cyber 9525 DVD PCI/AGPw98 according to windows.
I have downloaded XFree86 3.3.5-1.6.0 to add my video chip, and then
installed the rpm (I think I did this right, but I´m not sure).
Then I tried to run the Xconfigurator.
My Chip was there as trident cyber 9525 (generic).
First I did 1028x768 for my screen, but this didn´t work. Then 800x600 and
smaller, but both give me the same triple screen. I´ve been using defalt
for everything else. I tried these other XF86Config for Toshiba´s off the
net, but they were giving me: 
XF86Config error: /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config
I tried using the new file for both files, but that did the same thing.
that is about where I am until I have tried some of this new stuff...
