Its called "Mastering Regular Expressions" (unless ORA has published 
a new one!) and I have found its exercises most useful for expediting 
my understanding of regexes, though I am still a *long* way off from 
"mastering" them. Some day I'll finish it, too. [=^J

I've been slowly making my way through "Learning Perl" as well. I have 
found its progression logical and useful. The only hinderance to my 
learning of Perl has been a lack of time to focus (and a small lack of 
confidence that I could write anything useful and/or interesting).
