[techtalk] licq

the easiest one line command for unzipping/untarring a tar.gz file that
I've found would be "tar -zxf source.tar.gz" if you want to actually see
what it's untarrring, add a v in there something like "tar -zxvf
source.tar.gz" that will uncompress and untar your file in one command,
and anytime you can cut-down the risk factors for CTS, I say do it.

as for the plugin problem, my version of licq (0.81) came with a plugins/
directory in the initial tarball and it actually told me after I installed
the licq binary to go to plugins/qt-gui (you should already be in the
licq source directory if you just compiled and isntalled it, that's
where the plugins/ directory is) and read the INSTALL text file, which
pretty much tells you to run ./configure; make; make install, the same as
you did with licq. that's how it worked with version 0.81, and I've been
running that for a while so I imagine if you don't have the same version,
the install hasn't changed much in the newer versions.
