I just use my own vps (which I share with other people), and use that for
storing my projects, using ssh, git and http. There's no need for me to use a
junky web interface to create new projects or websites or anything like that.
I can make it do whatever I want (run make to update sites and archives, run
daemons, etc).

For $11 / month, a VPS is a fairly cheap service.
(I use http://prgmr.com who have been very good.)

My setup is not yet as featureful as something like google code, but I prefer
to have more control. You're welcome to have a free ssh/web account on my
server if that might be useful to you.

Sam
