[prog] Starting from scratch with PHP

Hi all,

Thank you for all your feedback and leads - this definitely has given
me a good deal of places to look, as well as a great number of things
to think about (among others, the difficulty of writing *good* php!).

I have looked at python, and liked the little I have seen. I have been
tempted to acquire 'Hacking Python' by Magnus Lie Hetland.
