ParLevel is looking for an extremely passionate backend specialist to help
us boost the next phase of our development. You should have experience in
server architecture and management as well as building elegant, simplistic,
yet highly powerful back-end solutions.

On the ParLevel backend, engineers get a chance to work with server to
server and device to server communication programming and configuration
making sure that the ParLevel hardware interacts efficiently, transparently
and securely with our servers. Server and application architecture also
play an important role as well as building efficient maintenance routines
for ParLevel's multi vendor database.

*Requirements*
• 3+ years hands-on experience in back-end architecture design for
highly-scalable, secure and robust web applications
• Medium-level Linux administrator skills
• Experience with web services and server to server communication protocols
(SOAP, WAMP, web sockets)
• Experience in systems security including firewall installation /
configuration and message encryption
• Proficient in Cloud Servers management and configuration
• Advanced knowledge of MySQL database design and administration.
• Ability to manage your own Dev environments and assist with other
environments when needed
• Must be able to take initiative, work independently and be innovative
• Excellent teamwork and a sense of humor
• Demonstrated ability to meet project timelines and collaborate in a small
team

*Desired Skills*
• Familiar with MVC development Frameworks (Laravel, Django)
• Basic knowledge of Python
• Knowledge of PHP and the rest of the LAMP stack
• Experience in non-relational databases (MongoDB) as well as DB
performance optimization
• Familiar with Agile Methodologies (SCRUM)
• Experience in Load Balancers and Virtual Machines
• Strong and demonstrable HTML/ Javascript skills
• Experience in testing and debugging
• Excellent customer service attitude

*What You Will be Doing*
• You will work on the back-end to create and maintain the arteries and
veins of the ParLevel core system. including but not limited to server
configuration and maintenance, server-to-server and device-to-server
communication, system architecture, new features of our Device Management
System and database administration
• You will have the freedom to come up with the best solutions to real
world use cases, developing world-class software based on requirements
generated by the company Product Managers
• You will work very close to the Hardware department to guarantee
integration and communication between ParLevel HW and our servers as well
as the development of routines that will allow to remotely trigger actions
in devices deployed in the field
