Linux Engineer

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
TECHNICAL
 Proficient in infrastructure architecture of large-scale, automated environments
 In-depth knowledge of UNIX technologies, support and process lifecycles in enterprise systems
 Excellent UNIX administration and troubleshooting skills on Linux and Solaris; Red Hat Linux is a plus.
 Detailed understanding of technologies such as kernel mechanics, virtual memory, process lifecycles, DNS, DHCP, NIS, LDAP, autofs, NFS, AFS, TCP/IP, PXE, jumpstart, kickstart
 Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies deployed at scale
 Thorough understanding of SAN/NAS and associated protocols
 Extensive experience with Perl, shell programming, Python, C; Focus on automation is a plus.
 Dtrace/Systemtap experience is desirable
