The University of Virginia's Behavioral Health & Technology group (http://bht.virginia.edu) in the School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences is seeking a creative Web Developer III to lead efforts in developing and maintaining web-based applications for a growing number of medical and behavioral health conditions. This position will function as a program developer for web-and mobile based programs (eHealth/mHealth), with responsibilities overseeing the planning, design, programming and implementation of these programs. We are seeking an experienced developer to help build the next generation of "Internet interventions."

Position requires Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Programming or other related field. Training in product development, database development, application deployment, and Linux/Unix environment is required. Successful candidates must have a minimum of four years of software development experience, specifically coding on Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL. Skills obtained during graduate coursework (Master's Degree with two years of experience) are considered in lieu of work experience.

This position is located in Charlottesville, Virginia U.S.A. International applicants are accepted with pre-existing work visa for the U.S. There is no relocation allowance for salary and this position is not approved for telecommuting.
