This job supports several research labs that utilize MRI and MEG for
research. Support of various MRI and MEG data analysis packages on
various platforms. Must have a good enough understanding of the
operating systems and applications to learn custom applications without
support or help and be able to troubleshoot a wide variety of problems
with little or no documentation.
You will be working with MDs, PhDs, Postdoctural Fellows and PhD/MD
students who may have computer skills superior to yours. They do not
want to do this job, they want to do their research.
Salary is excellent and benefits are better. This is an exempt position
with a great PPO health care and dental plan. If you use the MCW
physicians, consider this an HMO.
Please forward me your resume and available start date. This position
is located at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
1. This job is located in US-Wisconsin-Milwaukee
2. Don't think the college would provide any support for any type of visa
3. Would need pre-existing visas to work in the US
4. The researchers themselves pay for this position out of their
research grants, so there isn't any extra money for relocation. Things
like this have to be budgeted in advance.
5. Telecommuting is not an option.
The job title is IS Manager, but it is manager in title only. They used
this title to justify paying more for the position.
As long as you do your job, you will be left alone. You need to be able
to self manage. The people are really great to work with.
Thanks
Andrea Laack
