Omneon, Inc Sunnyvale, is looking for a senior developer with experience
in developing and debugging 

OS kernel level modules to work on clustered filesystem development.

 

Description:

The Omneon Storage and Applications group builds high performance
networked storage systems 

for the video broadcast and production industry.  

 

The successful candidate will be involved in developing distributed
filesystem software within the Linux kernel. 

He or she will be responsible for ensuring stability and performance on
a wide range of 

Linux distributions and hardware platforms. 

The ability to understand and debug the various Linux kernel modules is
necessary.

 

 Requirements: 

* A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

* 5 years development experience in OS kernel development, specifically
networking or file systems.

 

 Skills and Experience

* Unix or Linux system level development experience.

* Distributed and/or clustered systems development.

* Filesystem development.

* Multi-threaded, high-performance architectures.

* TCP/IP network programming, in-kernel network stack usage.

* In-kernel Unix memory management
