Ultra Mobility Group Platform Software Engineering organization (UPSG)
is looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager with
background in Embedded product development using Linux* OS to join the
Systems Engineering and Integration team. In this position, you will be
leading the System SW Validation and Manufacturing team to deliver
System SW stack for Mobile Internet Device (MID) projects.  Qualified
candidates should have experience leading validation and build & release
efforts for Software.  Responsibilities include but not limited to
defining business strategy, developing necessary engineering
infrastructure, staffing, and delivering core SW stacks for internal and
external UPSG customers.  Prior experience w/ system SW validation
highly recommended.

 

Qualifications

You should possess a Master's degree with eight years or a Bachelor of
Science degree with 10 years experience in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Additional qualifications
include: 
- Knowledge of Software Product life cycle 
- Experience in writing Test plans from MRDs, PRDs and Use cases 
- Experience with Software Validation, Build, Release and Configuration
Management 
- Experience with moblin.org (Mobile Linux) 
- Experience with Linux* community and Linux* distributions 
- Experience interfacing with external customers and fellow travelers:
business professional communications
