Omneon, Sunnyvale CA is actively seeking a File System/Storage elite who
will be responsible for the 

development and troubleshooting of network storage systems.  

 

Components include volume management, hierarchical-, rule-, and
policy-based storage, 

resiliency, file system recovery. 

 

The position entails development on a Linux platform using the standard
Linux tool chain.  

Interaction with other storage engineers (both local and remote) in the
software stack is required.  

 

The system is distributed, redundant, and self healing, involving
development of policy based 

intelligent storage algorithms.

 

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.  5+ years
experience developing intelligent storage software.

 


Skills and Experience


The successful candidate will be familiar with developing highly
available systems in distributed clusters.  

Demonstrated ability to build solid, unit tested code, with
corresponding user documentation is a requirement.

We are looking for people with experience in some of the following
areas:

*         Development of high availability systems.

*         Development of distributed systems.

*         Performance optimization for low latency.

*         Storage virtualization.

*         File system semantics and caching behavior.

*         Rules based policy implementation.

*         Distributed locking and synchronization.

Interaction with remote personnel requires excellent written and oral
communication skills.
