Google is looking for a Diagnostic Software Engineer to join our
world-class networking equipment design team. The ideal candidate will
have a solid history of writing diagnostic programs to test hardware,
basic embedded system software and Linux kernel experience, and a
passion for delivering top quality products.

Responsibilities:

   * Work with Hardware Designers to create diagnostic programs to
verify design functionality.
   * Create the tests and infrastructure to supply contract
manufacturers with production diagnostics.
   * Design and implement runtime diagnostics and monitoring.
   * Interface with contract manufacturers and production test
technicians to resolve issues.

Requirements:

   * BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or
related disciplines.
   * Ability to program in C (Python or C++ is a plus).
   * Familiarity with test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic
analyzers and data acquisition systems.
   * 4+ years experience with network enterprise class hardware.
   * Previous experience in dynamic advanced development environments
is highly desirable.
   * Knowledge of Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
   * Excellent communication and documentation skills.
   * Able to read and understand electronic schematics.
