This software position is located in Portland, Oregon.

 

EdgeLink is seeking an experienced Linux Application Support Engineer
for a rapidly expanding software product line. The successful applicant
will have a broad range of software technical support experience via
phone calls, email and direct customer interaction.  Other areas of
responsibility include but are not limited to; support of pre-sales
product evaluations, completing NDAs and software evaluation agreements,
determining customer hardware & OS requirements, etc. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 

Expert with complex computer systems running UNIX and Linux operating
systems

Understanding of full software development lifecycle.

Excellent customer support skills

Outstanding organizational skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communications skills

6 years technical experience, including at least 3 years of direct
customer support

Strong Perl programming/scripting 

Familiarity with C programming language
