The Omneon Storage and Applications group builds high performance
networked storage systems for the video broadcast and production
industry. We are looking for a senior developer with experience in
developing and debugging OS kernel level modules to work on clustered
filesystem development. Experience with in-kernel memory management,
networking stacks, and multi-threading would be useful. 

 

The successful candidate will be involved in developing distributed
filesystem software within the Linux kernel. He or she will be
responsible for ensuring stability and performance on a wide range of
Linux distributions and hardware platforms.  The ability to understand
and debug the various Linux kernel modules is necessary. 

 

Skills and Experience: 

*	Unix or Linux system level development experience. 
*	Distributed and/or clustered systems development. 
*	Filesystem development. 
*	Multi-threaded, high-performance architectures.
*	CP/IP network programming. 

 

Qualifications:

A BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5 years development
experience.
