Responsibilities
* Author specifications and hold reviews for IT infrastructure.
* Install and administer Oracle and MS SQL Server databases.
* Plan, install and configure new server and desktop deployments.
* Procure hardware, software and licenses for the server
environments.
* Plus all the normal routines for a sysadmin role.
Requirements:
* B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science/Information Systems or
other engineering disciplines with CS/IS coursework.
* Excellent knowledge of Windows 2003/XP and RedHat Linux
Enterprise.
* In-depth knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, DHCP, HTTP,
FTP, TELNET)
* Technologies experience with E/R and database modeling tools
(ERWin / Eclipse Plug-ins).
* Experience implementing security using IP Filtering, SSL and
Digital Certificates.
* Strong working knowledge of SAN/NAS (Pillar, NetApp, EMC) and high
availability cluster implementations.
* Administrative knowledge of Oracle 10g / RAC is a strong plus.
* After hours and weekend support via on-call rotation is required.
* Live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Company is located near BART
and CAL Train.
