Linux (Red Hat or SuSE) Administrator Opp. for Linux Enterprise SW

Due to rapid growth at our client, a Linux Enterprise Solutions software
vendor, there is an extremely visible full-time position for a strong
Linux Administrator to help them deploy their next generation software
for the Intel platform.
In the area of Linux management & deployment software, they are one of
the few proven sources for their line of robust Linux solutions
targeting the enterprise level customer. There success is proven by
their impressive list of customers including JP Morgan Chase, Electronic

There is an impressive management team in place including one of the
originators of SGI's IRIX, a former Wind River Systems senior executive
at the CxO level as well as former IBM Labs & Apple Labs people on their
core engineering team, some holding patents.

Due to rapidly expanding sales at our client, (as well as the upcoming
release of products reflecting their new architecture), there is an
immediate need for an engineer with proven Linux systems administration
skills for their professional services group. This is a unique
opportunity for the hired engineer to be instrumental in growing the
evolving Client Service Division by working directly with the 'Director

will make them one of the first impressions a major company will have of
this software vendor. The engineer must feel comfortable working alone
at a customer site, but also must know when the correct time is to ask
for assistance from core engineering. Our client based in the CA Bay
Area will accept degreed candidates anywhere on the West Coast. The
client engagements are very short term, usually a matter of 1 or 2 days.
The travel will only be 1 to 2 days a week on average.
In addition to strong technical and problem solving skills, the
professional services engineer must have excellent interpersonal,
communication (written & verbal) and organizational skills to manage
Fortune 500 accounts.
Technical requirements:
