TITLE: Information Technology Specialist

Boat People S.O.S., Inc. (BPSOS) is a national Vietnamese-American community-
based organization with 24 years of service. We are seeking a motivated and 
enthusiastic individual to lead the organizational development of network 
infrastructure and information technology resources for our Headquarter and 
13 remote offices totaling 80 users.

SALARY: Depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide leadership and technical assistance for all the computer systems of 
the organization: software, hardware acquisition and inventory, internal 
server, backups, etc.; 
Develop a secure and fault tolerant network infrastructure composed of 
LANs/WANs as well as supervision of server data and information repository 
and internal phone-switching system; 
Supervise and monitor all network problems related to domains, active 
directory, user accounts, and security policies. 
Provide guidance and establish core basis for replication of the existing 
network infrastructure onto the various branch offices. 
Recruit, train, and supervise IT staff, (work-study and intern), and 
volunteers; 
Organize information workshops, training seminars, and conferences; 
Develop blueprint manual and set IT standards for new branch offices.

REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years of experience with IT support in Win2k network environment;
MCSE and A+ certification or equivalent experience; 
Working knowledge of setting up and maintaining TCP/IP clients and DNS, 
DHCP, email and web servers; 
Excellent problem solving and communication skills, along with the ability 
to work both independently and as part of a team;
