CHANG Industry has been in business for 14 years.  We are a small
company of 30 employees, mostly located in La Verne, CA.  We are a
small/midsized site with 30 workstations running Windows 2000/XP, and
a few Windows 9x systems, 3 Redhat linux servers, and 1 Redhat linux
based firewall/gateway.

Job Requirements
----------------

 - United States citizenship required
 - This is a contractor position with the possibility of full-time in
   the future
 - Familiarity with filesystem ACLs
 - Solid understanding of networking and network security fundamentals
 - Good understanding device drivers
 - Ability to read and write bash (Bourne) shell scripts
 - Some familiarity with writing perl scripts
 - Ability to do minimal debugging and modification of C programs

Job Description
---------------

The primary job function includes the normal tasks of making sure the
system is running smoothly:
 - ensuring RAIDs are up and running
 - monitoring SMART data to preemtively replace hard drives 
 - ensure backups work
 - ensure required services are running
 - monitor firewall logs to ensure we're not compromised
 - perform ISP fail-over
 - perform daily differencial backups

In line with keeping everything running smoothly is developing and
executing a plan for bi-annual bare metal recovery tests.

In addition to the usual adminstrative tasks, we require some IT
related development:
 - creating a web front-end for ACL's which allow for a role-based
   security model.
 - creating a user management system that makes it easy to add/delete
   users, and allow/disallow access to various services (eg. unix
   login, smb login, offsite email, etc.)
