Ubuntu - India Business Tour

Hello chix0rs_in,

This is to inform you that Ubuntu/Canonical [1] representatives will
be travelling [2] to India in Jan/Feb 2006 to increase awareness for
Ubuntu in Asia : introduce Ubuntu to local governments, hardware
providers, and system builders across Asia.

They plan to host a business breakfast/lunch with local companies, and
then hold in-depth meetings with selected companies, as per schedule
and are particularly keen on meeting :

 - System builders who make and sell PC's in these markets.
 - People interested in building custom versions of Ubuntu for local
markets or vertical markets.
 - Consultants and system integration specialists.
 - Folks interested in localisation and translation.

Please spread the word to increase awareness about the benefits of
Free Software and if you are interested in attending and meeting
Canonical representatives, please register yourselves at the wiki [2]
under the Indian city of your choice. Editing the wiki requires a
Launchpad account and it can be created here [3].

Print and media coverage for BOM, HYD, BLR and DEL events will give
Ubuntu-Linux some much needed good publicity. Can someone volunteer a
small write-up highlighting the event in local tech-related magazines
or national newspapers.

Every effort counts and will help us make the Ubuntu_India tour a
