I use Ubuntu (hoary) on my vaio. ( PC @ home is owned by my sis...so nothing
of my fav can get into it). I think Ubuntu is the best distro for
laptop/Notebook. Installation went on quite well.

Not that everything works but most of them workI have problems with my
function keys ( Like Eject or volume control etc).

Until now I couldn't configure the special keys s1 and s2.

I still have problem with recording ( audio in). I am working on...probably
should get solved by this weekend. But it plays audio's.

I had to install DVD player seaparately.

Battery monitoring is ok.

Sometimes I feel its producing lot of heat that it used to produce earlier.
( Don't know the reasons.... actually I don't how the CPU fan is controlled
here

No issues with touchpad....

How about others running Linux on laptop/notebook...how was your instalation
