I've had a couple years of experience in C and C++, and have dabbled
in other languages such as Perl, ML, Java, bash, and even visual
basic. I intend to use online resources for now, and possibly buy a
reference-type book if what's online isn't sufficient and I like the
language enough. I googled for "python language named for" and got
www.inetarena.com/~pdx4d/ocn/numeracy0.html, which claims it is named
for Monty Python.
