I was about to ask the same thing. I have some experience with it, and I can
say it is a great CMS. I used it for several years, but it was host in
another organization server. Now that we have our own server and complete
access, I'm using a new version and it is great.

 It is CSS based. It has forums built in, all you need to do is enable it.
It is based in PHPTemplate, I don't know too much about it but seems it is a
engine to help to create themes for.

I thing would be a great idea if we can develop a layout to be used for the
chapters too. I just built a new one, if help of some designer friend,
because I have no sense of design at all. I ask for some geek girly aspect,
and the result you can see at http://www.linuxchix.org.br/ . But I would
certainly accept to change it to keep with the linuxchix.org. I just don't
use the actual because I know nothing about plone/zope.
