I'm not surprised. It was one of the first links in Google, and it
also turned up repeatedly much further in on lots of other pages, so
I started thinking it was Your Only Hope. (:

That one might actually work the best of all, since I get the
impression that you can then access the disc from any software rather
than just from a file manager or CD burning program.

There's also the fact that almost all of us bought some when they
came out, so most people probably still have them around. Considering
how many of the older methods are still supported (or at least easily
accessible) in Linux, it's kind of surprising that this one just
somehow got left by the wayside, at least for the most part.
