[Techtalk] Hardware upgrade dilemma

So, I see that I can get a HP ML115 Dual core opteron 1.8GHz with 1Gb DDR2
667MHz RAM server (with 160Gb SATA and 3 year warranty) for €170.

So now I'm thinking... €170 (inc VAT) for a dual core and 1Gb or
do I do memory upgrades with my current kit. Current desktops are:

1: Pentium 4 CPU 1.60GHz
    256Mb in 2 x 128Mb PC133 SDRAM

2: AMD Duron 900MHz
    256Mb in 1 x 256Mb PC266 DDR

Now, I could do RAM upgrades to both of these machines for:

1: 512Mb €45 (non ECC) to €55 (ECC). Dunno which I have.

2: 512Mb €23

So, do I:

A) Just do RAM upgrades to the P4 1.6GHz and the AMD900MHz

or:

B) Get the HP tower AMD Dual-Core Opteron 1.8GHz with 667 MHz DDR2 RAM
and RAM upgrade and keep either the P4 1.6GHz with PC133 RAM or the
AMD 900MHz with PC266 DDR RAM?
Does the PC133 RAM slow the P4 to much less than the AMD?

Any thoughts?

Ta

Conor
