This isn't a direct response to your question, but I'd like to offer a
general observation. No one knows what networking will be like in ten
years, and it's easier design a building to be easy to wire than to wire
a building that wasn't made for it. The same goes for power cables and
any other kind of wiring.

For example, an artificial ceiling is really convenient for wiring,
because you can run the wires through the ceiling to any given place in
the room. This is a good example of futureproofing.

That said, the need to futureproof needs to be balanced with other
needs, so you shouldn't go overboard. But look for small and inexpensive
things you can do to futureproof.
