hi all

working on my desktop tonight... and wanting to play a cd...
and i think its about time i solved the audio weirdness i've been having since i upgraded from mandrake 8.0 to 8.2 ...

i cant seem to mount audio!
which is pretty weird, i never had any problem before...

this is the message i get... i've tried looking through the mount options, and using '-t auto' but nothing seems to work... does anyone know the trick ? ;-)

[root at wembly miriam]# mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd1 /mnt/cdrom2
mount: block device /dev/scd1 is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/scd1,
or too many mounted file systems

and this is my /etc/fstab - default mandrake entries...
none /dev/pts devpts mode=0620 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
/mnt/cdrom /mnt/cdrom supermount dev=/dev/scd0,fs=iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-15 0 0
/mnt/cdrom2 /mnt/cdrom2 supermount dev=/dev/scd1,fs=iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-15 0 0
/mnt/floppy /mnt/floppy supermount dev=/dev/fd0,fs=vfat,--,iocharset=iso8859-15,umask=0,sync,codepage=850 0 0
# wembly:/ /mnt/hamish nfs user,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,suid,soft 0 0
/dev/sda1 /mnt/win_c vfat defaults 0 0
/dev/sdc5 /mnt/win_c2 vfat defaults 0 0
/dev/sdd6 /mnt/win_c3 vfat defaults 0 0
/dev/sda5 /mnt/win_d vfat defaults 0 0
/dev/sda6 /mnt/win_e vfat defaults 0 0
/dev/sdb1 /mnt/win_h ntfs defaults 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/sdd5 swap swap defaults 0 0

thanx,
m
