actually, you could also try your local community or technical 
college.  here in new mexico, we have a combination community/tech school 
that offers everything that the high-priced certification courses offer, 
but at around 33$ per credit hour (one class is usually 3 or 4 
credits.)  they don't offer the actual certification tests however, but the 
tests themselves run (i believe) $200 or so a pop, so that's still a pretty 
hefty savings over taking an expensive class plus paying for the tests.
