The Open Technology Institute at the New America Foundation is seeking
applicants for the following position:

A technologist at OTI is responsible for skill driven contributions to
technology projects in traditional, open source software development
areas such as design, programming, testing and documentation.

Responsibilities:

- Build open-source wireless mesh networking technologies.
- Assist OTI's developers in building and refining open-source software
tools.
- Facilitate the creation of online communities around open-source projects.
- Continually learn new skills and share knowledge to help improve team
practices.
- Determine project requirements and envision creative solutions.
- Present and demonstrate technologies and technology-related topics to
both technical and non-technical audiences.


This position is based in our office in Washington, DC, offering
