Billing Application Engineer

This position is located in Mountain View, CA.

Google is searching for an outstanding Java developer who will play an
important role in the continued development and support of our billing
applications. This opportunity requires 2 to 3 years of experience doing
Java programming, preferably for billing or financial applications. This
person should also have experience in doing software development and
operations in a highly available and secure environment. A successful
applicant will also have demonstrated experience in operating within a
structured team environment which includes disciplines such as configuration
management, release management, quality assurance, and bug
tracking/reporting. 

Experience and Attributes Desired: 

*	A minimum of a BS/MS in Computer Science or 3-5 years of relevant
programming experience. 

*	2-3 years Java development experience. 

*	Experience in billing and financial system architecture and
operations. 

*	1-2 years experience in Java database applications (MySQL database
experience is ideal, but other major databases such as Oracle is also
acceptable), including database modeling. 

*	Experience in scripting in a major scripting language such as perl
or python. Python is desirable. 

*	Experience in integrating with 3rd party software packages. 

*	Strong knowledge and experience in high availability architectures. 

*	Past experience in a large-scale, custom-developed, e-commerce
environment with high availability and 24x7 operations. 

*	A track record of "getting things done" and ability to make
pragmatic compromises to make progress. 

*	Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

IT Field Technician

Positions available in Mountain View, CA / New York, NY / Kirkland, WA.

looking for an IT Field Technician responsible for supporting the needs of
Google's business office and coordinating technical resources at various
locations. We are looking for an individual that is highly technical and can
not only directly support all the IT needs of a remote office but also
mentor future IT employees.

Position overview: 

*	Provide direct support for Linux and Microsoft desktops/laptops and
user access to corporate network and applications both on the network as
well as through remote VPN access. 

*	Provide direct support for services such as office phones,video
conferencing, and remote access. 

*	Provide direct support for Google's corporate resources and
applications. 

*	Provide direct support for Google's office relocations and
expansions. 

General requirements:

MySQL Database Administrator 

This position is located in Mountain View, CA. 

Google is searching for an outstanding MySQL Database Administrator. This
opportunity requires 2-3 years of experience doing database administration
for MySQL databases in highly available production environments. The
individual should also have experience with setting up and managing database
replication and disaster recovery configurations. The person will be
responsible for managing our development, test, and production billing
databases. The person will also be responsible for creating and supporting
canned and ad-hoc billing and financial reports at the request of our
Finance team.

Requirements:

*	BS/MS in Computer Science or another bachelor's degree with 2-3
years of relevant experience. 

*	2-3 years experience with general administration of MySQL databases
(user administration, roles/authorization management, database
setup/configuration, performance tuning, backup/restore/archiving). 

*	1-2 years experience with MySQL database replication and remote
disaster recovery configurations. 

*	Strong experience in scripting in a major scripting language. Python
is preferred. 

*	Experience with Linux at an administrative level. 

*	Experience with supporting 24x7 production environments. 

*	Enough Java experience to be able to read code intelligently. 

*	Experience with platform capacity planning and ability to work with
data center engineers to design physical environments. 

*	Knowledge of good security practices and experience working in a
secure environment. 

*	Experience in working with billing or financial applications is a
strong plus. 

*	Proven experience in development and support of production reports. 

*	A track record of "getting things done" and ability to make

Internal Applications Support Engineer 

This position is located in Mountain View, CA. 

Google is looking for an enthusiastic engineer to join our Internal
Applications team to provide technical support for a wide range of internal
applications. You will be responsible for responding to user inquiries,
troubleshooting technical problems, and resolving data/configuration issues.
This will require system administration, writing utility scripts, tracking
down change history through log analysis, running database queries, and
understanding the web application codebase. You will work closely with the
engineering, QA, and product management teams to collaborate on resolving
problems as well as prioritize bug fixes and new development. You should be
comfortable with multi-tasking, handling interrupts, and working with
non-technical users. Exceptional database expertise, troubleshooting skills,
tenacity, and customer focus are essential for your success. This position

Requirements:

*	Strong experience with relational database queries and
