[Courses] Well, shall we?

I'm going to try, I've tried to learn on my own and haven't gotten anywhere
(lack of time, mostly). I've been in the computer world for about 15 years,
have Mandrake on one of the computers at home, but have never done any
programming. I've edited programmer training materials, so I've been exposed
to it.

As for books, we've got the O'Reilly "Practical C Programming" and the
Deitel & Deitel "C How to Program" which I thought was pretty friendly, so
either of those would be great.

This ought to be fun!

I'm curious... are all 35 members going to actively participate in this C
course? I don't think I will be participating actively.. I may attempt
to but have other things going on so I may just lurk and read e-mail and
maybe make notes for future reference.
