I was forwarded this by a friend and thought there might be some
crossover between the LinuxChix and Maker Girls communities.

Hi Everyone,

Im doing a little bit of research on women in the maker community, at
least what I know to be the maker community.

I consider myself to be a bit of a maker, I make all sorts of stuff, I
love making stuff and I even have an Etsy store, but I make most of my
goods using digital fabrication techniques such as 3D printing and CNC
machining.

I found that although I have never had any formal manufacturing
training, this technology has enabled me, to do things I never really
saw myself doing, at least not well.

Im currently interested in writing a paper on the subject of female
makers in the digital manufacturing age and would be interested if any
feed back and observations with regards to this topic, especially from
any females.

thanks heaps
