I don't know of any actual software simulations that will help you. I'd 
recommend either borrowing some old PCs and kit, or using vmware server 
(free) and building your own virtual machine networks. I'd also recommend 
that you have a look at the BMO book (http://bwmo.net) for networking 
training.
