[Techtalk] pon dsl-provider deprecated at boot up time

Hi, all.

I have upgraded to the latest pppoeconf

I have run this (inumerable times) and always answer 'yes' when it asks
if I want to make my adsl connection at boot up time

Now with the latest upgrade it still asks the question but I notice in
addition that at bootup I get a notice (like) 'ppoeconf connection at
boot up is deprecated' and this goes on to say that the
/etc/network/interfaces method is preferred.

Can anyone please enlighten me on how to get an automatic connection
with my adsl line please. I have rtfm and it is pretty dense, Ill end up
modding files all over and wrecking it even more. Some help needed
please.
