[Techtalk] New System Questions

Hola,
Am shopping for a new 64-bit mobo and cpu for our crippled daw.
The combo I was looking for: socket939+agp+sata does not appear to exist.
I found a Biostar with agp+sata+DDR2, but socket AM2 - which I know
nothing about.

Is anyone using a socket AM2 with Linux? Any problems?
Anyone having issues with VIAK8 chipsets?

(Btw, the new 'Vista-compatible' FireFox update sucketh!
I'm downgrading.) :(
