My only problem, it doesn't seem to work for me. I usually SSH into my
Linux box from elsewhere. According to "set | grep -i term", my
$TERM=xterm. My .Xdefaults file already had the line
XTerm.VT100.titeInhibit: true
in it; I added your specified version of
XTerm*titeInhibit: true
, but vi, less, and the rest still blank the screen on exit, even after
logging out and back in again.
I don't suppose you have any other suggestions? I'm using Slackware 9.0.0,
and I'd love to be able to change this behavior back to the more useful way.
