[Techtalk] mouse freezes after logout

Hi all
I have this problem that my (usb) mouse freezes after I logout for a 
long period of time. Typically, I logout at the office at about 5pm and 
login at 9am the following morning.  Unplugging and replugging the mouse 
solves the problem, but this is a bit irritating and I'll prefer to have 
it fixed.  I get the following message in /var/log/syslog when I replug 
the mouse:

I am not sure what this means or what to do with it.  Any pointers are 
appreciated.
